About SitterSpots

Vadim and family

I built SitterSpots out of frustration.

My wife and I are a military family with two young kids. Between long hours, unpredictable schedules, deployments, and being far from family, “date night” slowly stopped being a thing. Not because we didn't want one—but because planning it felt harder than it should.

We didn't always have parents nearby to help. We had great babysitters we trusted, but every time we wanted to go out it turned into the same scramble:

  • Who's available?
  • Did I already ask them last month?
  • Did they respond?
  • Did they forget?

Most of the time, we'd give up before it even started.

SitterSpots was created to fix that problem.

Instead of chasing sitters one-by-one or sending awkward group texts, SitterSpots helps babysitters let families know when they're available—and helps families actually plan something when they are. It's not a marketplace of strangers. It's a simple tool for people who already know and trust each other.

No pressure. No spam. Just better timing.

I built this for military families, shift workers, busy parents, and honestly anyone who's ever said, “We should really go out more,” and then… didn't.

If SitterSpots helps even one family reclaim a night together without stress, it's doing its job.
